I remember how nervous I was just before my scuba diving experience. At the same time, the thought of entering a new and mysterious world, enhanced my thrill. So here I’m going to share everything from my first scuba diving experience in Dwarka, Gujarat.
One morning, I sat on the Shivrajpur beach and saw a scuba diving club office, so I went there and asked them about it. They gave me all the information I needed and asked me to reserve a scuba diving slot for the next day if I want to go for it.
The next day, in the morning, I reached Shivrajpur Beach for a unique adventure. I was very excited throughout the entire route. They gave me a scuba suit, I wore it, and then they took me to the scuba diving site in the middle of the sea with the other 5-6 people in the boat. They gave all the instructions and basic signs for communicating underwater, and then they prepared me for a dive with an oxygen cylinder on my back and a diving mask.
I was very scared when they pushed me into the water. I couldn’t look away from my instructor for the first few mins and tried to tell him I was not very comfortable. He instructed me to take a deep breath and relax. I gradually became aware of my surroundings, allowing myself to be immersed in this wonderful new experience.
Around 20ft deeper in the sea, there was a totally different and beautiful blue world, with total silence and peace. It astounded me to understand that there are thousands of creatures living beneath the ocean. Everything was so magical than I ever imagined. I saw so many small fishes swimming and playing in their own fun around me. I saw so many different sizes, vivid and dingy corals on the sea floor’s rough terrain.
My 20 minutes of diving time passed too fast, and I never realized it until my instructor gave me a sign it’s time to go up. We came over the surface slowly, and our boat was already there to take us.
Shivrajpur is one of the best dive sites for newbies to try scuba diving in Gujarat. Shivrajpur is a clean and calm beach. The dive site has a diverse range of coral reefs, fish species, rock formations, and aquatic life.
Diving is an awesome activity that allows you to indulge in the ocean as if you were a fish swimming in the water. During all those moments, I forgot all my life’s stress and worry. I lived an amazing experience of life which I will never forget. I would love to experience this again and again at different places. Everyone should experience scuba diving for once in a life.
